Pontiac Solstice Club Visit
August 6, 2011
About 30 Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky cars came to visit the museum. They spent
the better part of the day here in Pontiac.
Below are some of the comments from the group:
I also want to thank the entire town of Pontiac for making us feel like we were
all the most important people in the world (at least yesterday). The towns’
photographer/videographer, police escort into town, the Mayor meeting and
greeting us, the reserved parking around the courthouse square, the Dye’s for
the Pontiac Museum tours, and I could go on and on. Let me just say that the
entire town of Pontiac welcomed us with open arms and they couldn’t have done
anything better (unless they could have controlled the heat ) but I am
not complaining at all .
This was one fantastic day. Again thank you Diana for putting this together and
a huge thank you to the entire TOWN OF PONTIAC!
I’m home and time to relax after a very exciting and enjoyable weekend. I
had a blast. The welcome we received in Pontiac was top shelf for sure.
Thank you Pontiacins!
Huge thanks to Ellie at the City of Pontiac! We wouldn’t have gotten to do all
the things we did without her! She coordinated everything the city did for us!
She introduced me to Tim Dye, invited me to dinner with the mayor, Bob Russell,
and she set up Scott the photographer and the police escort! I wish you all
could have met her…she is amazing! Big thanks to Kristen for taking care of
us yesterday.
I can’t say THANK-YOU any better than those who have already written here.
Everybody in the town of Pontiac should be proud of themselves for all the
assistance and for letting us play in their pretty town. Diana, great job
(again). You did the work of many!
To all the the people of Pontiac who went out of their way to make us feel
welcome a great big thank you. The police escort really made the group feel
like we were special. Having the mayor greet us all at the courthouse was
exciting also. Everywhere I went in Pontiac the people made me feel like it was
their pleasure having us there.
