This is a book about Pontiac memorabilia and literature by Pontiac-Oakland Museum Director, Tim Dye, who has been collecting Pontiac memorabilia for over 30 years. It has 130 full color pages on glossy paper and measures approx. 8 1/2″ x 11″. There has never been another book published like this, it is totally dedicated to Pontiac – Oakland collectibles. There are over 500 items featured. It’s not like a catalog with just pictures, there are many stories and descriptive captions about memorabilia and literature. The stories and captions contain a vast amount of Pontiac history. It highlights the people who transformed the idea to reality. The book also goes into detail about the turbocharged GXP, two V-8 conversions, the Solstice as a race car, plus what’s available in the way of accessories and options. The Solstice is a kick to drive and a pleasure to read about.

Pontiac Pizazz by Jim Wangers and Art Fitzpatrick, hard cover, 64 pages. You’ll read about what Jim believes are the most significant Pontiacs ever built. Most of these cars were produced during the “Wide-Track Era” that incredible period between 1959 and 1973 when Pontiac ruled the number 3 sales slot. There are 15 Pontiacs featured and each features text by Jim Wangers accompanied by a wonderful illustration by Art Fitzpatrick.

My Dad’s GTO by R. Curtis Roehm, soft cover, 34 pages. A children’s book with a wonderful story about a father and son who buy a GTO and restore it together.

Route 66 Sightings by Jerry McClanahan, Jim Ross and Shellee Graham, hard cover, 192 pages. Exploring this book is not unlike touring an art gallery. Route 66 Sightings is strictly image driven, telling the story of the legendary highway through portraits and individual narratives that invite the reader to embrace the subjects, one at a time. Within the pages are images dating to the early 1980s, including many little known locations that will be found in no other book.
